NORTHTOWNS SOCCER CLUB – July
10, 2008 meeting minutes
Board Members present:
Jerry Sullivan, Glenn Dolata, Frank Huber, Don Rogers,
and Bill Weitz.
Meeting called to order at
8:35 pm by Jerry Sullivan.
Meeting Minutes: The
reading of the June 12 meeting minutes were dispensed with and the minutes were
accepted as written.
Treasurer’s Report: Don Rogers
presented his monthly report. Total
checking and savings account balance as of the June meeting is $144,880.48. As usual all bills have been paid and
deposits made. Treasurer’s report accepted.
Frank Huber noted that Don
Rogers will be retiring in October and if anyone with a financial background is
interested in the Treasurer’s position please let Frank or Don know ASAP.
House Report: Frank Huber reported the following:
- Summer House Program is half way completed with
no problems to date. The school
district is complaining about vehicles being parked on the grass. No corrective action indicated to be
taken.
- There will be no Just for Kicks Program this
fall.
Travel Report: Glenn Dolata and Frank Huber reported the
following:
- Team tryouts are scheduled for August, coaches
must register with Frank.
- Five players still owe travel fees.
- Lottery winners for July are posted on the
website. Checks will be distributed
in August.
- D-license course will be offered and Ken Belote
will be working on this with further details to follow.
Fundraising:

The Golf
Outing at Deerwood will be on a Sunday, August 24. Glenn
again emphasized the importance for teams to be actively supporting this
outing. Door prizes would be gratefully
appreciated.
Fun Time: See website regarding Family Day at Darien Lake. Dave DeFrank indicated tickets are still
available.
Old Business:
- Discussion regarding early payment for next
summer team registration. Teams can
collect monies but registration and payment will NOT be done until spring
per Glenn & Frank.
New Business:
- The Northtowns Picnic will be at Fairmont Park on August 16.
- Gersh Field – please pickup your garbage when
leaving.
Field Status:
- Still negotiating with Town of Wheatfield – constant “roadblocks”.
